We're delighted to announce the arrival of Ginny Paton who has joined Iris as Managing Partner.
Ginny will lead our growing PR specialism, which currently lists BRITA, Haven, Barclays and Suzuki as key clients.
Ginny previously held the role of PR Director at Mischief, overseeing a portfolio of businesses including Vodafone, E.ON, Odeon and Honda.
Prior to Mischief, Ginny owned and ran House PR, one of the UK’s leading entertainment and lifestyle PR agencies. Ginny lead the agency through a sale into W Communications where it continues to run as a standalone operation within W.
During her time at Mischief, Ginny led the Vodafone account, delivering campaigns such as #goldilocks, a campaign to encourage parents to talk to children about online behaviour; plus leading on the launch of DreamLab; 'the app that uses phones’ processing power to help in the fight against cancer; as part of the Imperial College DRUGS Project, as well as launching Vodafone’s 5G capability in the UK.
In addition to Vodafone, Ginny also lead the E.ON account, notably launching the ‘Clean Air’ campaign, which included a live installation of a 16-foot set of lungs, in both London and Nottingham, to demonstrate the impact of pollution on the human body.
House PR delivered some of the most talked about campaigns in recent years, resulting in many award wins and commendations. Highlights from Ginny’s time at House PR include putting Richard Branson in a Perspex box for the day in Covent Garden for Virgin Media UK, launching the Huffington Post in the UK on behalf of AOL, launching the Earth Car for Honda Formula 1 Racing Team with Jenson Button, having a long-standing relationship with Channel 4 covering T4 on the beach for 5 years as well as launching 4Music.
Ginny commented on the move: “I remember when Iris first started. They stormed the scene and were everywhere – winning business in all sorts of unexpected places. They were surprising, intriguing and definitely “ones to watch”. They were one of the first truly integrated agencies. Seeing what they’ve done and achieved over the years is incredible. I’m really excited to be joining a team that absolutely knows how to deliver an integrated solution for clients. I’m also looking forward to making sure that PR keeps its rightful place at the heart of the integrated offer.”
Chris Marlow, Managing Director, Iris London, said: “We’re delighted that Ginny’s chosen to join Iris. She brings a wealth of PR experience that will super-charge our PR capability as part of an integrated offering. Iris is made up of a number of specialisms that, when blended together, enable us to create bold and brave work that push our clients forward and Ginny’s arrival will add further potency to that.”
